Say Hello to Jenny
helping you tell your story through quilting.
I'm Jenny—founder and creator of Oh, Hello Jenny!
I've been sewing off and on for years, but my love for it started early. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my Grandma Jewell and my mom, Susan, sewing tiny Barbie clothes just for me. Later, I joined 4-H and stitched dresses and outfits of my own. Then life happened, and sewing took a backseat—until a fateful day in 2017, when my mom took me to a quilt store. I walked out with everything I needed to make my first quilt... and I’ve been hooked ever since.
As I’ve grown as a quilter, I’ve come to realize that I don’t fit neatly into either the modern or traditional camp. I create what inspires me—what helps me tell my story through fabric and thread. That’s the heart behind Oh, Hello Jenny!—a space to share patterns, quilts, and ideas that help you tell your story, too
Oh, hello there!
Creating everyday Stories
Through my blog, patterns, and products I hope to spark your imagination and help you find the magic in everyday moments—and channel it into your sewing. Your story is being written everyday. Let me help you find it!
Keeping Stories Close
And let’s talk books! Reading has always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve found I’m not alone—so many quilters are also avid readers. I love finding creative ways to celebrate the stories we love by weaving them into the quilting process. Whether it's a color palette inspired by a novel or a block named after a character, I want your quilts to hold those literary memories close.
Treasuring Stories
I also believe strongly in honoring the quilters who came before us. Their work—beautiful, practical, and full of spirit—deserves to be remembered and used. I’ll be sharing those finds, stories, and projects here too, keeping their legacy alive through our stitches.
Revising Stories
And because not all stories are easy, I believe in supporting others as they rewrite theirs. A portion of every purchase goes to Hope Faith Ministries—a day center for the homeless in Kansas City that offers everything from basic necessities to job training through their intern program.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I can’t wait to see how your story unfolds.
